The current form of the pseudo-Gothic residence was shaped between 1894-96 by the world-renowned architect Jan Kotěra, who contributed to the renovation of the southern wing, the tower, and the interiors inspired by Art Nouveau.
After 1948, the castle was nationalized and the premises were used by a museum and archive. After 1989, it was returned to the original owners.
The castle building has an impressive and romantic impression, which is further enhanced by the castle park with a pond. Around the building, you can see the remnants of the outer fortifications.
Currently, only the castle park is accessible, which is beautifully maintained and interesting. You can only enter the castle during various events.
