Großer Galtenberg is part of challenge: King of the Kitzbühel Alps

The highest peak of the Kitzbühel Alps. Accessible from the village of Inneralpbach via trail A37 through Alpkreutz Jadgehutte. After descending, you can return via the Farmkehralm hut and trail A16 back to the valley. The hike is 16km long with an elevation gain of 1420m. Ascent and descent take about 7-9 hours and are suitable for training. The most dangerous part is the ridge crossing to the summit (about 1 hour). In good weather during summer, no special equipment is needed.
