A basalt table mountain with a flat summit and steep edge slopes. The most prominent mountain of the Tepelské Highlands. The summit plateau is formed by a layer of medium-grained olivine nefelinite with olivine crystals up to 5 mm in size. The presence of pyroclastics typical of proximity to a source and a significant magnetic anomaly are considered evidence that Vladař is not an erosional relic of a longer lava flow from the Doupovské Mountains, but rather a remnant of a separate volcano. The summit is located in the forest about 130 m from the yellow-marked forest path.
