The peak itself is essentially an interchangeable spot in the forest, yet it is the highest point of a very interesting area bordered roughly by the municipalities of Hořice, Světlík, Frymburk, Rožmberk nad Vltavou, and Větřní, which has remained largely uninhabited since the expulsion of German-speaking residents. The entire plateau is a mix of forests and meadows, interwoven with paths, almost entirely unmarked and essentially devoid of any civilizational landmarks such as restaurants, guesthouses, etc. The area around the peak currently (2022) offers only a small view through one clearing towards Poluška (919m), but the meadows not far to the north provide amazing vistas not only towards Šumava but also to the Slepičí and Novohradské mountains...
