Gellért Hill is a 235-meter high hill above the Danube River in Hungary. It is part of the I and XI districts of Budapest. Gellért Hill is named after Saint Gerard, who fell out of favor with the representatives of King Stephen after his death and was attacked by an angry mob during a rebellion, placed in a cart, and thrown off the hill. At the top of the hill is the Citadel.
