A prominent mountain in the Austrian part of Šumava, less than 2 km from the Czech border, the highest peak of the Šumava region Lučská hornatina. At the summit stands the stone observation tower Sternsteinwarte from 1898, 20 meters high, offering views of Šumava, Novohradské hory, and the Alps. The highest point is at the base of the tower, marked by a milestone. A smaller ski resort is located on the eastern slope.
