A peak rising above its surroundings, with an isolation of over 20 km. It has a beautiful northern and eastern face that drops into the stunning Otschergraben gorge. The easiest route is the marked southwest trail. However, Ötscher also offers a dangerous adrenaline-pumping northeast ridge route of difficulty I+. From the summit, there are panoramic distant views.
