The limestone rock rising from the Barrandov Rocks was archaeologically studied from the 1920s to the 1980s. There was an elevated settlement of the Řivnáč culture in the Middle Eneolithic, and human activities were also evidenced by finds from the Central Danube burial mound culture in the Middle Bronze Age. Originally about one hectare in size, Klobouček is unfortunately now destroyed in four-fifths, a consequence of technocratic solutions for road construction in the 1930s and 1980s.
