Góra Parkowa (Park Mountain) is located in the Silesian Park (Park Śląski). Silesian Park is located in the city and municipal district of Chorzów (Chořov) in the Katowice conurbation in Silesian Voivodeship in southern Poland. The park, with an area of 535 ha, is one of the largest parks in Europe. It has the title of "Green Lungs of Upper Silesia". It is an important cultural center of Upper Silesia. On the hill is the Silesian Planetarium (Planetarium Śląskie im. Mikołaj Koperníka). The park can be easily reached by Śalinów (sorry, tram) from Katowice Market Square, which is a short walk from the train station).
