Łysa Góra is located in the eastern part of the Łysogóry mountain range, within the Świętokrzyskie National Park, and the Main Świętokrzyska Trail named after Edmund Massalski runs through it. It is part of the badge Korona Świętokrzyska.
At the foot of the peak lies the monastic complex of the Abbey of the Holy Cross, founded by Benedictines. It houses the relics of the Holy Cross, after which the abbey and the hill are named. Since 1936, the Congregation of Missionary Oblates of the Immaculate Virgin Mary has resided in the monastery. The complex includes the Basilica of the Holy Trinity. It is advisable to reserve more time for a visit. You can view the relic, climb the church tower, visit the Benedictine crypt, and much more. But be careful, it closes at 5:00 PM.
