Víťova rozhledna near Náčkovice is a beautiful example of how even a telecommunications tower can be built a bit differently than is common these days. An ideal hike to recommend is from Buková hora, across the vast meadows and the hill Materlík directly to this lookout tower. From the top, although it is not particularly prominent, you can see Buková hora, the Czech Central Mountains, as well as Vlhošť and Bezděz to the east. If you want to go inside the tower, check the current opening hours (usually from 10:00 to 17:00 from May to October, only Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays - subject to change). If you are already here, take a trip to the kilometer distant Mukařov. At the eastern end of the village, you will find a ruined bell tower that is photographically interesting.
