Vianden Castle is a popular tourist destination in Luxembourg. It is undoubtedly the most beautiful castle in the country. For ten euros, visitors can explore the interiors with period furnishings and a reconstructed kitchen, an interactive digital development of the castle, and explanations in many languages. The castle is located on a rocky outcrop of the parent mountain, whose summit has been modified for a water reservoir. From the ramparts, visitors are treated to amazing views of the town of the same name, which clings to the slopes of the Our River valley. A note for dog visitors: the fact that dogs are not allowed in the castle is only revealed after paying the entrance fee, which is somewhat unpleasant.
