Ascent:
From the small town of Vouvry at the eastern end of the lake, we will take the serpentine path up the slope towards Miex. We pass through Miex, at the sign marking the end of the Flon settlement we turn right and immediately park in a large parking lot. We return to the intersection where we turned right and take the asphalt road to the left into the distinctly U-shaped valley formed by the glacier. We follow the valley to its end to the saddle. From the saddle, we go right straight up the steep grassy slope and continue on the hiking trail to the summit. About 15 minutes from the summit, there is a junction where on the return we will not go right down from where we came, but left down to avoid retracing our steps. We descend into the valley that runs parallel to the one we ascended, closer to Lake Geneva. After about half an hour, the path disappears, but we can already see a cattle farm down in the valley, where we will find the path again. We descend to the beautiful Lake Tanay (swimming) and from there we still have 45 minutes of unpleasant descent on a dusty road.
A long hike, it is necessary to set off early in the morning. From the summit, there is a beautiful view of Mt. Blanc. Almost the entire ascent, except for the final sections, leads through grassy meadows.
