As early as 1882, a wooden gazebo (Gloriet) stood at the summit, featuring an 8-meter tall octagonal observation tower. However, it burned down in 1924. In its place, a hotel with a massive twenty-meter stone tower was completed in 1931, from whose observation platform there was a perfect panoramic view. During a fire in 2004, the original hotel building was reduced to ashes. Only the observation tower remains, which, after reconstruction and the construction of a new hotel, is no longer accessible to the general public. (Today, hotel rooms have been built within it.)
