Originally a fortified settlement from the Late Bronze Age. In the 9th and 10th centuries, a Slavic watchtower to protect the Elbe trade route. The name Krebsův vrch (Crab Mountain) is derived from a gardener from Krásná Březná, who built the first lookout under the mountain. After stone mining, an 8m high formation of basalt columns remained at the top of the rocky promontory, resembling a mortar of heavy artillery. (Since then, the mountain has been named - Cannon!) However, the rock formation along with the original lookout was blasted during road construction. Today, there is a newly built lookout with a railing and a gazebo, named in honor of the famous hiker František Málek. Views of the Elbe Valley and the Czech Central Highlands, from Buková hora to Mariánská skála.
