You can reach the summit from both the western and eastern sides of Bukhansan National Park. Near the summit, you need to assist yourself with metal cables while climbing. From the busy summit, there are stunning views of the entire national park and the city of Seoul. The ascent typically takes 2 to 3 hours, depending on the difficulty of the chosen route. There is a marked easier and a harder path. No special equipment is necessary, but be prepared for cold winds at the summit and bring a sweatshirt.
