The highest peak of the Seetal Alps and the superior Lavanttal Alps. Just below the summit stands the Zirbitzkogelhaus mountain hut (also known as Helmut-Erd Schutzhaus) with a winter room. To the southeast of the mountain lies Lavantsee lake, and to the northeast is Lindersee lake. The summit can be reached via marked trails from several directions, with the shortest access likely from the Tonnerhütte hut (1594 m above sea level).
