The highest mountain of the entire Novohradské Mountains, less than 4 km from the Czech border. The summit is in the forest near the end of the ski slopes, with a rocky base in the woods. On the eastern slopes, there is a ski resort, and the Maltsch (Malše) river springs on the northeastern slope.
