Stropník SV is part of challenge: Cross on the Summit of Domestic Mountains and Hills

The side peak of Stropník with a viewpoint on a paragneiss rock outcrop, an iron cross, and a summit book. Originally, there was an 18 m tall wooden lookout tower from 1910, initially with a personal guard. However, after less than twenty years, it collapsed under the force of a storm (its foundations are still visible today). Later, a triangulation tower was also built here. Eventually, a large viewing platform was constructed. From this wooden platform, there is an unparalleled view of the foothills, as well as the Czech Central Mountains and part of the Ore Mountains. In the immediate vicinity of the viewpoint rises a ridge-like rock massif (locally called Boulder), with opportunities for shorter climbing ascents. For almost half a century, the second oldest New Year's hike in the Ústí region has been held at the summit.
