In 1921, a large stone mound - the Liberation Memorial - was built on top of Hradisko above Velký Týnec. It is located in the area where a fortified settlement once stood. The structure, conceived as the Liberation Memorial, was designed by local native architect František Kolář. The ceremonial unveiling on September 18, 1921, was even attended by the President of Czechoslovakia, T. G. Masaryk.
