A prominent mountain on the German side of the Ore Mountains, less than 5 km from the Czech border. The second most prominent peak in the Ore Mountains, right after Klínovec. At the summit stands a stone lookout tower from 1860 (the oldest in the Ore Mountains) and a mountain hotel. The historic pillar of the Royal Saxon triangulation - Station 135 Auersberg was located at the top. In 2020, a fragment of the pillar was newly built next to the lookout tower.
