Viewpoint along the path to Babia Hora. In the past, this was the route of the nearly thousand-year-long Slovak-Polish, or Hungarian-Galician border, when on June 28, 1920, the area was annexed by the Poles and Czechoslovakia had to cede 27 northern Slovak municipalities to Poland. Today, you can still find fallen border stones along the hiking trail, which were reinstalled during the Slovak State from 1939 to 1945.
