A peak that, like the surrounding mountains, is diminishing due to marble mining. So far, only the foothills of these larger Apuan mountains are being destroyed, but on some smaller peaks, entire summits are already disappearing. If mining continues at this pace, the entire beautiful Apuan range will vanish.
