Příčný vrch, at an elevation of 975 meters, is the highest peak of the Zlatohorská Highlands, which is part of the Jeseníky Mountains. The summit is forested, but on the northwestern ridge, about 1.5 km from the peak, there is a tourist lookout tower made of loosely stacked stones offering beautiful views.
Around the summit, there are quarries, and on its eastern slope stands the pilgrimage church of Our Lady of Help (Maria Hilf), with several marked trails leading through the area, including two mining educational paths.
