A massive and significant peak in the central Šumava, its massif rises above the valuable area of Modravské swamps. The second highest mountain in the entire range and one of the only two fourteen-thousanders in Šumava. From the summit, there is a unique view of the whole Šumava, definitely one of the best. Accessible via marked trails only from the German side, from the Czech Republic most easily via the border path from Luzný, but it is necessary to check with the NPŠ administration about its opening/closing.
