Register and log summitAbout peak Gašerbrum III
Pákistán
Vrchol Gašerbrum III was added here by Bouřka.
One of the highest mountains in the world outside the eight-thousanders. Due to its prominence of less than 500 m, it is not considered a main peak, but rather a subsidiary peak of Gasherbrum II. For a long time, it was the highest unclimbed peak in the world, with the first ascent achieved in 1975 by members of a Polish expedition - on the summit were Wanda Rutkiewicz, Alison Chadwick-Onyszkiewicz, Janusz Onyszkiewicz, and Krzysztof Zdzitowiecki.
