The Třesín hill is visible from both Olomouc and Mohelnice. Especially its steep northern part forms a significant landscape landmark. Třesín is an outlier of the Bouzov Highlands and the westernmost part of the Carpathians. The hill itself is composed of Devonian limestone approximately 390 million years old.
