Crimean Mountains
Crimean Mountains is a mountain range in the southern part of the Crimean Peninsula, primarily composed of limestone, slate, and sandstone. The climate is moderately continental, with Mediterranean features. The gentle northern slopes consist of steppe and forest-steppe, which transitions to deciduous forests at higher elevations, mostly deforested at the peaks. The southern rocky slopes are covered with pines and junipers. The highest peak is the ultra-prominent Roman-Koš (1545 m).
