Mid-Atlantic Ridge
Mid-Atlantic Ridge is the longest mountain range in the world. It divides the main tectonic plates - in the northern Atlantic, the Eurasian and North American plates, and in the southern, the African and South American plates. The ridge stretches from the Gakkel Ridge northeast of Greenland southward to the Bouvet Triple Junction in the South Atlantic, where three tectonic plates meet - South American, African, and Antarctic. On Vrcholovka, only the northern part of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, associated with Eurasia, is included. The highest peak is Ponta do Pico (2351 m) in the Azores.
