"Between heaven and earth" is what this hut south of the Engelhörner is sometimes called. In reality, it is located on the narrow Tossengrat (new spelling on the map) between Rosenlaui and Ürbachtal. Extraordinary sunrises and sunsets. An exciting destination for experienced hikers in summer (no winter room) with amazing access routes, partially secured with steel cables and ladders. Ski mountaineers use the Rosenlauibiwak.
Capacity of 55 beds, no winter room.
Access from Rosenlaui takes about 4 hours through a picturesque hut. The ascent is one of the more challenging climbs to the hut (T4).
The route requires confidence, and you should not be afraid of heights. Difficult sections are equipped with steel cables, ladders, and steps. The Alpine mountain trail is marked in white and blue.
Access from Innertkirchen through the beautiful solitary Urbach valley.
From the end of the road towards Gaulihütte and shortly after Schrätteren along the marked mountain trail through Enzen towards the hut takes about 6 hours.
