The Bregenz Forest is located in western Austria in Vorarlberg and forms a significant part of the Northern Limestone Alps. It is characterized by a diverse landscape of green pastures, extensive forests, limestone massifs, and deep valleys. The highest peak of the range is Glatthorn (2,133 m with a prominence of 646 m), which is a prominent landmark in the western part of the mountain range.

The range offers a wide variety of ascents from easy hiking trails to steep mountain paths and more challenging ridge hikes. Due to its location, the peaks provide stunning views of the Rätikon, Silvretta, Lechtal Alps, Allgäu Alps, and the Swiss Alps. Traditional alpine pastures and mountain farms are also characteristic, giving the Bregenz Forest its typical character.

The King of the Bregenz Forest challenge will take you to the most significant and prominent peaks of this picturesque range. You can expect grassy ridges, limestone summits, panoramic peaks, and tranquil mountain trails that represent the best of the Bregenz Forest.

Peak features in the challenge:

- Elevation of at least 1,500 m,
- Prominence of at least 200 m,
- A hiking trail or unmarked path leads to the summit,
- Ascent to the summit is not prohibited.
