Švarná Hanka is a location and also a mountain lodge in the Zadní hory range of the Beskydy Mountains, on the way from the settlement of Gruň to Bílý Kříž.
The predecessor of today's mountain lodge was built around the mid-19th century. In the second half of that century, a young woman named Anna Weliczkowá came here from present-day Slovakia, who bought a house with her saved money. She set up a so-called ferlok, where she sold beer, bacon, bryndza, and probably also spirits. However, over time, the space of the ferlok became insufficient. Therefore, Anna, known locally as Hanka Veličková, decided to buy a farm from a neighbor, where she opened a tavern. At the height of its popularity, it was called U Švarné Hanky. According to legend, two neighbors fought over her, and the whole case ended up in court. Here, one of the witnesses referred to her as "the coarse Hanka," to which the judge reportedly stated that she was quite beautiful.
