Bivak Pol is situated in one of the most beautiful spots in the entire Aosta Valley. It is located in the heart of Gran Paradiso National Park, surrounded by the Tribolazione Glacier and perched above Valnontey.
From the rocky terrace in front, the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa with the Money Glacier in the foreground can be seen on the horizon. Behind the dazzling beauty of the Tribolazione Glacier and the Gran Paradiso massif.
Access to this magnificent place is reserved for climbers: the approach path is poorly marked, with numerous exposed sections prone to landslides or falling rocks. Some chains assist in the ascent, but in case of bad weather, the risk of fatal accidents is high.
