About chalet Cresta-Biwak

The well-equipped Cresta bivouac was built by SAC in the summer of 2018. It is located at the foot of Latelhorn, northeast of Antronapass, about two hundred meters above the pass. The bivouac is an ideal starting point for a hike across Cresta di Saas, a long ridge traverse on the Italy/Switzerland border. By the way, it is an old bivouac box from Mischabeljoch, which has been repurposed here.
The bivouac comfortably accommodates 6 - 8 people.
Dining and kitchen utensils, gas stoves, mattresses and blankets, toilets,
overnight stays and day visits must be recorded in the hut book.
Access: Saas-Almagell - Heidbodmen cable car via high alpine hiking trail, 3 hours
through Saas Almagell, Furggstalden, and Furggtal to Antronapass, 4-5 h
through Mattmark, Ofental, Jazzilücke, Antronapass, 4-5 h
Nearest peaks: Stellihorn (3436 m, 2.4 km) Sonnighorn / Pizzo Bottarello (3487 m, 3.3 km)
