A characterful hut for climbers and high-altitude hikers, set in a high mountain landscape with a fantastic mountain backdrop high above Randa. The panorama stretches from Breithorn through Matterhorn, Zinalrothorn, and Weisshorn to Balmhorn in the distant Bernese Highlands. The stone building, constructed in 1957, was the first of its kind by architect Jakob Eschenmoser, and the modern extension and renovation offer today's comforts and standards. Summer ascents to seven four-thousanders in the Mischabel group are possible.
Capacity: 75 beds, winter room: 9 places.
Access: from Randa 4:30 h.
