The second highest mountain of the Ore Mountains, the highest mountain in Saxony and the highest mountain of the former German Democratic Republic (GDR/DDR). At the summit, there is a chalet with a restaurant and a lookout tower (and a parking lot).
At the top, you can find the historic pillar of the Royal Saxon triangulation - Station 15 Fichtelberg.
