There is a Memorial to the Soldiers of the Red Army at the site. The memorial was erected in 1945. It commemorates the liberation of Ostrava and the memory of Soviet soldiers who fell during World War II on our territory. The plaque reads: Here on April 29, 1945, the troops of the 4th Ukrainian Front engaged in the main battles with the German fascist occupiers for the liberation of the city of Moravská Ostrava.
