The Cvilín lookout tower (also Liechtenstein lookout tower) is located on the northern slope of the Přední Cvilínský hill (441 m above sea level; also Hradisko, popularly Cvilín hill, Cvilín hill, Cvilínský hill, also Silesian holy hill, German Burgberg, Latin Monte Cviliensi), the foot of the lookout tower is at an altitude of approximately 436 m above sea level.
The lookout tower was built in 1902-1903 according to plans by Ernst Latzel for the Moravian-Silesian Sudeten Mountain Association (MSSGV) with substantial financial support from Prince Liechtenstein. It was opened on June 11, 1903. The original building was 35 meters high, as it still had a turret on top, which was removed during post-war repairs. Television and radio antennas were also placed on the lookout tower at one time. It is a stone cylindrical tower 29 meters high with a single uncovered observation deck at the top, which is reached by 144 steps. In August 2011, Cvilín took 2nd place in the iDNES.cz poll for the most beautiful observation tower in the Czech Republic.
